Penguins and Alpacas Tour from Santiago

Your guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel at 09:00 and take you to the Llay Llay location.

Quintessence Alpacas is a family-run alpaca farm known for breeding Suri and Huacaya alpacas and producing high-quality alpaca wool products.
During the visit, you learn how the animals are raised, how the wool is classified and how alpaca fiber is turned into yarn and garments.
The farm is renowned for its exceptional conformation and extraordinary softness of fiber. The herd includes alpacas with fine fiber comparable to vicuña fiber. This achievement gives their products a distinctive competitive edge that is recognized globally.

Take a serene coastal walk from the northern end of Cachagua along the surf to small turquoise Las Cujas Bay. We follow a coastal trail along rocky cliffs, with open views of the shoreline and the Pacific Ocean.
The granite rocks shaped by wind and waves create good photo spots and provide shelter for seabirds, including both resident and migratory species. Curiously, the sea temperature in Cachagua is always somewhat lower than that of neighboring beaches in the region. Meet Humboldt penguins - an endangered species native to the cold stream of the Humboldt Current. They live all year round on a tiny rocky Isla Cachagua, a protected sanctuary.
This piece of the shore is a birdwatcher's paradise, home to seagulls, pelicans, cormorants, Peruvian boobies, oystercatchers and more. Sea lions are often seen near the island, while tide pools along the route reveal crabs, anemones, and sea stars. Cypresses, cacti, and native succulents decorate the trail.
After the walk, we return to Santiago and drop you off at your hotel.
