Itinerary Details:
Santiago
Your journey will start in Santiago, where our driver and a local guide will pick you up from a hotel at around 8:00 a.m.
Transfer from Santiago to Colchagua Valley
As you drive through the Chilean countryside, you'll enjoy the scenic views while your guide shares stories about the history of winemaking in Chile.
Casa Silva Winery
Casa Silva Winery will be our first destination. It is the region's oldest and most traditional winery, offering a glimpse into Chile's rich legacy and history. During the visit, you can see old vineyards dating back to 1912, the estate’s antique car collection, the hotel and stables, and learn about grape varieties such as Carmenere before finishing with a wine tasting.
Clos Apalta Winery
Our next visit will be to Clos de Apalta in the Apalta Valley. Clos Apalta is known for its top wines and striking architecture. Its gravity-fed winery was designed so the wine can move through the production process with minimal pumping.
During the guided visit, you learn about the winemaking process and taste wines such as Clos Apalta and Le Petit Clos, depending on the tasting available that day.
Lunch at Viña Montes
For lunch, we head to Viña Montes. The winery restaurant is a good place to slow down, enjoy the vineyard setting and try dishes that pair well with the estate’s wines.
Transfer from Colchagua Valley to Santiago
After lunch, we return to Santiago. Arrival is usually between 8:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m., depending on traffic.
