Bahá'í Temple & Alhué Lahuén Full-Day Tour

We pick you up from your hotel at 9:00 a.m. and drive toward Peñalolén, at the foot of the Andes, where the Bahá'í Temple is located.

The Bahá'í Temple stands in the Peñalolén district, at the foot of the Andes and away from the usual historic center route. Its nine translucent “petals” create a bright, calm interior, while the gardens around the temple offer wide views over Santiago.
The temple is open to people of all backgrounds and is used as a place for silence, reflection and prayer. After time inside and a walk through the gardens, we continue south toward the Alhué Lahuén ecological center.

Alhué Lahuén ("Remedy for the Soul") was created in 1998 as an educational space dedicated to Chilean native flora and cultural heritage. The center covers about three hectares and brings together plants from different regions of the country.
In the northern section, you can see desert species such as algarrobos, chañares and taras. The central area includes maitenes, peumos and boldos, while the southern section features araucarias, canelos and pitaos.
Chilean native cultures and traditions
Mapuche culture is one of the ecological center's most prominent elements. At the entrance, chemamull (wooden figures) greet all visitors.
The visit includes a Mapuche ruca, a traditional house where the local guide introduces stories, symbols and elements of Mapuche culture. The center also has spaces dedicated to other Chilean native cultures, including Atacameño, Rapa Nui, Aymara, Licanantai, Yagán and Selk'nam traditions.
You may also see the collonca chicken, a Chilean breed known for having no tail and for laying blue or olive-green eggs. The visit is guided by the center's local guide and follows paths surrounded by native plants, including copihue, Chile's national flower.

Arrive back in Santiago between 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.
