Itinerary Details:
Santiago
We pick you up from the hotel at 09:00 am and drive to east-southern Santiago, towards the Andes to the Baha'i Temple.
Transfer to Baha'i Temple
Baha'i Temple
This architectural masterpiece is located at the skirt of the Andes in Peñalolén district—relatively far from the typical patrimonial map of our capital. Reknown and rewarded for its unique design, the temple resembles a flower and features nine translucent alabaster petals that create a serene and welcoming space.
An environment of silent orations and union for every religion that proves they all can co-exist in peace below one roof. After tranquil walking through the Bahai's geometrical garden and some time inside to absorb the divine energy and purify our spirit, we go to the south to our proximate spot.
Transfer to Buin - Isla de Pirque area
Alhue Lahuen Didactic Experience
Alhue Lahuén ("Remedy for the Soul") is a space established in 1998 to create a place to connect with Chilean identity through its native flora within the three hectares.
All plants grow according to the regions where they are naturally from. In the northern section, we find algarrobos, chañares, and taras of the desert. Maitenes, peumos, and boldos inhabit the central area. While in a southern part araucarias, canelos, and pitaos reign.
Indigenous of Chile cultural dive
Mapuche culture is one of the ecological center's most prominent elements. At the entrance, chemamull (wooden figures) greet all visitors.
There is a Mapuche ruca (traditional house), and be ready for the legends from the past. One of the areas that fascinates all is a house that replicates the dwellings of the Atacameños —the Chilean altiplano people. Rapanui, Aymara, Licanantai, Tihuanaco, Yaganes, and Selknam are other aboriginal thematic installations we spot in the area.
You can see the typical chicken breed collonca with no tail and blue or olive green eggs—this species has been declared a national heritage. After finalizing our tour through the pathways adorned with Copihue flowers—Chile's national flower.
In the center Alhue Lahuén, a tour in a group with a local guide.
