Valparaiso Historical Tour
Once we get to Valparaíso, our tour will start. Old and chaotic Valparaíso called once a 'Pearl of the Pacific' gives us an image of lost Chile. The bohemian epoque surged here while it was a must-been port for all those who crossed from the Atlantic to the Pacific.
In 2003, this city was enlisted as a UNESCO World Heritage site due to its architectural and urban design, adapted to its unique topography. Our exploration begins from the flat part of the city. Our first stop is the iconic Sotomayor Square, the city's heart. Here, next to the memorial dedicated to the heroes of Iquique, we will uncover the stories and legends of the Second War of the Pacific.
Our journey continues as we stroll past the Admiralty building and the city courthouse to an ancient funicular that transports us to the Alegre and Concepción hills. The charm of the Valparaíso hills envelops you in the bohemian ambiance. During our walk, we will visit points such as Paseo Yugoslavo, Paseo Dimalow, and Palacio Baburizza.
Creativity infuses everything, from bright street graffiti to diverse galleries. We will get to know the city's culture by walking through its winding streets and staircases, taking photos of graffiti, and the stunning views of Valparaíso Bay that will be revealed to us from the viewpoints.
Viña Del Mar Highlights
After lunch in one of the best Chilean restaurants, our journey will continue to Viña del Mar, a stunning city often called the 'Garden City.'
We will see the Flower Clock – the iconic landmark of Viña del Mar, the town Casino, and an original Moai statue from Easter Island, located next to the Fonck Anthropology Museum.
Continuing along the coast to the north, we will enjoy the unique atmosphere of this resort city.
Our next stop is Reñaca Beach. This suburb of Viña del Mar is known for its charming promenade and diverse wildlife, especially the colonies of sea lions resting on the coastal rocks.
Concon Sand Dunes
Then we will go to Concón, a peaceful seaside town known for its great beaches and beachfront restaurants.
Here, you can see the stunning Concon Sand Dunes, which provide expansive views of Valparaíso Bay and the rocky oceanic viewpoint of Concon.
Finally, after a day filled with cultural sights and scenic beauty, you will be driven back to your hotel in Santiago.
