Tricao Park — Aviary and Sclerophile forest exploration
Tricao Park is home to a section of native Chilean sclerophyllous forest and the largest aviary in South America, where over 700 rescued birds roam and fly freely among lush vegetation. The park is named after the Tricao, a small green parrot found in Chile, Argentina, and Uruguay. Visitors can encounter Chilean myrtle, laurel, and boldo trees, which coexist with hundreds of rare and curious birds.
Walking through the park, you will cross the metal suspension bridge spanning the Tricao ravine, which is the perfect place to admire macaws, flamingos and toucans flying above the canopy.
The park is also home to the Peumus boldus, a medicinal tree endemic to Chile. Its aromatic foliage fills the air with a spicy scent. Designed for family relaxation and recreation, Tricao features a children's playground, kayak rentals for exploring the tranquil creek, and an eco-café which occasionally opens.
Love Monet's artworks? Welcome to Giverny Water Reserve, his recreation. Whether or not you visit the aviary, visitors to Tricao can discover a shaded, cosy park situated beside wetlands, complete with a small bridge, beautiful green gardens and a peaceful landscape spanning over 100 hectares, home to both decorative and Chilean flora.

Santo Domingo
We will continue towards Santo Domingo Bay, an elegant seaside enclave on the southern outskirts of the port city facing the open Pacific Ocean. After enjoying a meal in a local restaurant, we will take in the fresh ocean breeze and visit the Stone of the Sun, a unique geological formation and mysterious standing rock which is believed to have served as a solar calendar for the earliest indigenous inhabitants of the area.
