Alpaca Farm & Wine Tasting Full Day Tour

At 9:00 a.m. a driver and a local guide will greet you. This will be the start of our private tour from Santiago to the largest privately owned alpaca farm in Chile.

Here, you will experience the quintessence of Alpacas and the "Soft Secret of Chile!" providing insights into their history, behavior, and cultural significance. This family business of a vertically integrated global alpaca farm has been making spectacular progress for the last twenty years. It exports to more than 16 countries and has sold the genetics and fashions that have established some of the most renowned alpaca farms in the United States, Europe, and Asia. At the same time, it is a very pleasant and cozy place where guests from all over the world are welcome.
Upon arrival, we will see a short video about the farm and the properties of alpaca wool, and then we will be introduced to the alpacas. When you come across these gentle creatures, who are members of the South American Camelid family renowned for their soft fleece and charming personalities, you will feel the charm of nature. Experience close interactions with the alpacas, where you can get acquainted with these lovely creatures. You will be able to hand-feed these tidy and well-groomed animals, which are not shy about visitors.
Following the trip to the alpaca farm, we will visit the factory, where we will see the whole process, from yarn manufacturing to handmade garment production. The guide will elaborate on the aspects of alpaca wool classification and tell us how Chile competes for supremacy with Peru. You will see machines and equipment, as well as spinning and knitting machines, and get an insight into the production process.
After that, we will proceed to the store where you will have an opportunity to see clothes made of alpaca wool, put them on, and buy. This store has several accessories, such as scarves in different designs and colors, hats, jackets, ponchos, and coats.

After the farm, we will take a break for lunch in the small province town of San Felipe in one of the typical Chilean restaurants.

Next, our tour heads to a vineyard in the Panquehue region, home to the Aconcagua Valley. Here, winemaking thrives because of the "terrúa" 's particular mineral richness and sunshine. Not only this, but the colonial mansions are hidden between citrus orchards, avocados, and vineyards. This region is the source of the world-famous Seña wine and the main exporter of the delicious Californian Hass avocado from Chile.
We usually try to take our guests to a winery where you can have a private visit; we prefer it when a local guide gives you their whole attention as only guests. After gaining a detailed understanding and knowledge of the technology involved in the cultivation of grapes and wine production, you can experience the taste of an assortment of premium wines at the wineries and feel the essence of their aroma, flavor, and color.

At last, our tour guide will wrap up the day by taking you back to your hotel in Santiago, making you collect the unforgettable memories from this beautiful journey.
